Haile Sand Fort

This is a world war II sea fort in the humber estuary just off the coast of cleethorpes, north east lincolnshire, you can see spurn point and the lighthouse in the back ground. based on some photos i took during the day but i made it into a stormy scene. the fort is one of two in the estuary, they had a steel net between them to catch submarines and to defend the ports along the coast. took about an hour in total as an experiment at speed painting.
